What is the Web Manifest Downloader?
A web app manifest is a small JSON file that lets a website be installed like an app on phones and computers. It holds the app name, colours, start page and icons. Websites link to it with <link rel="manifest">.
Our tool reads the page, follows that link (or tries common names like manifest.json and site.webmanifest), and downloads the file. You see all the main settings, every icon with a preview, and warnings if something needed for installing is missing.
How to use it
- Type or paste the website address, like
example.com. You can also paste the full link to the file. - Press the button. We look for
the web app manifestin the right place on that website. We read the page head first to find the correct file name. - Read the simple summary to see what the file says.
- Press Download to save the file, or Copy text to paste it anywhere.
