Cookie policy

Short version: ToolPoint sets no cookies for visitors, but Google, our ads and statistics partner, may set some. Here is everything that is saved in your browser, who sets it, and how to say no.

1. Cookies

ToolPoint itself sets no cookies for visitors. But we use Google Analytics to count visits, and Google (the company that runs them) may set cookies or use similar identifiers in your browser. These come from Google, not from us, and Google's own policies apply to them.

_ga, _ga_…Google AnalyticsTells one visitor from another and counts visits and page views, so we can see which tools people use.2 years

Google Analytics is loaded only after you scroll, touch the screen or press a key, or a few seconds after a page has loaded. We never send your name, email or anything you type into a tool to Google.

  • You can stop Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The tools keep working without them.

Cookies are set in two places only. One is the private /admin area, after a team member logs in. The other is the Space Planner, after a visitor signs in with Google. No other page sets a cookie of ours.

2. Saved in your browser (local storage)

Local storage is a small space inside your own browser. It is not a cookie and it is never sent to our server. We use it for small conveniences only.

NamePurpose
themeRemembers if you chose dark or light mode.
toolViewRemembers if you like tiles or a list on tool group pages.
tp:…Remembers the last values you typed in a tool, so you do not type them again.

3. How to clear it

Open your browser settings, find Clear browsing data or Site data, and remove data for toolpoint.in. Everything above will be gone. The tools keep working, and they simply forget your choices.

4. Other websites

ToolPoint loads its fonts, icons and scripts from its own server, not from outside companies@if ($google['any']), except the Google services in section 1@endif. Some tool results show images or links from the websites you check. When you open them, those websites may set their own cookies. We cannot control that, and their own policies apply.

5. The law

This policy works together with our Privacy Policy and our DPDP Act notice. Questions? Write to hello@toolpoint.in.
