What is the Working Days Calculator (India)?

Need to know how many working days are left for a project, a notice period or a salary month? Counting on a calendar is slow and easy to get wrong, especially when Saturdays and holidays are mixed in.

This calculator counts every day between your two dates. It removes weekly offs based on your office rule (only Sunday, Saturday and Sunday, or the bank-style 2nd and 4th Saturday), and removes the holidays you add. Add the Central Government holiday list, national days, or your state's holidays in one click, then edit the list as you like.

How to use it

  1. Pick the start date and end date.
  2. Choose your weekly off rule.
  3. Add holidays with the quick buttons, choose your state, or type your own.
  4. Read the working days, hours and month-wise table on the right.

The start date is always counted. Tick or untick "Count the end date too" to include or skip the last day.
Which Saturdays are off in banks?
In India, banks close on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month and on all Sundays. Choose "Sunday + 2nd & 4th Saturday off".
Is the holiday list correct for my state?
Holiday lists are different for each state and change every year. We give common lists to start. Please check your state or office list and edit it.
What if a holiday falls on a Sunday?
It is counted as a weekly off, not as an extra holiday. We show these separately so you can see them.
