What is the Salary Proration Calculator (Part Month Salary)?
If you join a company on the 16th, you do not get the full month's salary. The same is true for your last month, or a month with loss of pay (LOP) leave. The salary is prorated, which means paid only for the days counted.
Companies count days in different ways: the real days in the month, a fixed 30 days, a fixed 26 days, or only working days. Enter your salary, pick the month and your company's method, and see your salary for that month, your per-day pay and the amount cut.
How to use it
- Enter your monthly basic, HRA and other allowances.
- Pick the salary month and why it is a part month.
- Enter the joining or last day, or the LOP days.
- Choose your company's day counting method.
