What is the Govt Job Age Calculator by Date of Birth?

Every sarkari naukri has an age limit, and the limit is counted on a fixed date. Many people lose a year because they count their age wrongly. Just type your date of birth and this calculator shows your age in years, months and days.

It also checks 16 popular exams, like UPSC, SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, Railway NTPC, IBPS, SBI and India Post GDS, and tells you if you are eligible, how long you can still apply, and the exact date your age limit ends. Add your category for the relaxation. If you are already in service, it also gives your retirement date by the Central Government rule.

How to use it

  1. Enter your date of birth.
  2. Choose your category, and tick PwBD if it applies.
  3. Change "age counted on" if the notice gives a cutoff date.
  4. Read the eligibility table, and your retirement date.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate age for a government job?
Count your age in full years on the cutoff date given in the job notice, not on today's date. If the notice says "as on 1 January", use that date. This tool does it for you.
How much age relaxation do OBC, SC and ST get?
For most Central Government jobs, OBC (non-creamy layer) gets 3 years and SC and ST get 5 years. PwBD candidates get 10 years more. State jobs can have different rules.
Are the age limits shown here the same for every year?
No. Boards change them from time to time, and some posts have different limits. Use this table as a quick guide and always read the latest official notice.
How is the retirement date decided?
In the Central Government, a person retires on the last day of the month in which they complete the retirement age. If the birthday is on the 1st, the retirement is on the last day of the month before.
Is the calculator free?
Yes. It is free, needs no login, and your date of birth stays on your own device.
