Frequently asked questions

How much nitrogen is in one bag of urea?
Urea has 46% nitrogen, so a 45 kg bag gives about 20.7 kg of N.
What does DAP give?
DAP (18-46-0) gives 18% nitrogen and 46% phosphorus. One 50 kg bag gives 9 kg N and 23 kg P₂O₅.
How do I know how much fertiliser my crop needs?
Use the dose on your Soil Health Card or ask your local KVK or agriculture officer. Too much fertiliser wastes money and harms soil.
